Quality Policy

In order to accomplish the demanding requirements of our customers for product quality, SpaceTech has implemented a rigorous quality management system and according rules of conduct. This system has been evaluated and as a result SpaceTech has achieved DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 certification in 2008. Presently SpaceTech is certified in accordance with the requirements of the DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 standard.

For the space application the quality management follows the European Space Agency’s ECSS regulations with the tailoring as necessary and appropriate for different type of missions.

For terrestrial applications STI is applying derived ECSS comparable processes.

In addition SpaceTech’s company philosophy is oriented towards a continuous demonstration of performance and efficiency as outlined in the following five main objectives that all employees are committed to:

1. All activities are customer oriented. The decisive measure of achievement is the tangible benefit for our customer in terms of product and service quality as well as reliability in delivery. The cooperation with our customers based on partnership is of fundamental importance for the orientation of our company.
2. The resources available in our company form a sustainable fundament for the implementation of a successful quality policy. The focus of our pursuit for quality is the employee. His responsibility and commitment to the quality of the created work will be expedited. The most important concern is the systematic instilling of quality awareness into all domains of the company with the aim to continuously improve our performance for the benefit of our customers.
3. The expenses inside and outside of our company directly influence our competitiveness and economic return. An economically oriented conduct is a fundamental prerequisite for long-term persistence in the market. The basic message is: Granting adherence to the specified quality is economically sound - quality deficiencies produce unnecessary costs.
4. As a producing company we rely on intensive contact and a relation based on partnership with our suppliers and business affiliates. These relations we cultivate with utmost care.
5. In addition to the compliance to our customers’ requirements we assume responsibility for our environment and the safety of our fellow employees. It is our aim to combine the best benefit for customer and co-workers. As the health of our staff is very important to us an optimum occupational health and safety is of great importance.
